WRITE IT OUT JOURNALS

As I am so loud and proud about on my blog already I am a Navy wife. Most times if you would ask i would say that my family and families like mine are the same as civilian families, then a story comes along and touches your heart and makes you remember that our community of families here in the military is so different than the civilian world. I follow a blog on this big ol' site called I make stuff and its run by a wonderful woman named Aldia L. In the link i am posting she tells of the loss of her husband and her new project to help others who have been through the same loss as her. I know that no one is subscribed to my blog yet but on the off chance that someone does find this lonely little page they will see this post and try to help. So go here and craft for a cause worth crafting for.

o to love, Love!

So in the spirit of Valentines day i have been inspired to pamper (and tease) my wonderful man. He is not a big fan of the holiday but i am and I decided i would go overboard this year (a little). I have planned a day of little clues (including a panty gram oo la la) This will all eventually lead him to a hotel with a jacuzzi room for two showered in flower petals and a sparkling beverage of some kind on ice and me in something oh so naughty.
I feel that he needs to know how it feels to be pampered for the holiday because i dont belive in one sided romance. because really he likes the gushy stuff too.

ok next thing i want to put into my ode to valentines post is a poem i found off another site that touched me enough to share it with whoever might see this post:

…{daydreamer}…
he could change the world with his hands behind his back,
oh…
daydreamer…
you can find him sitting on your doorstep
waiting for a surprise
and he will feel like he’s been there for hours
and you can tell that he’ll be there for life
daydreamer…
with eyes that make you melt,
he lends his coat for shelter…
plus he’s there for you
when he shouldn’t be
but he stays all the same,
waits for you,
then sees you through

from a post on this site

hope you enjoyed that as much as i do.

Thats bigger than i thought it was!

I feel in my life there is nothing really of note to write about but the muse seems to strike me anyway. So i will just tell you all about how i got a new TV last night and went over a budget that will bring such a sweet reward.

Last night started with a trip to H&R Block to take care of those wonderful taxes! Well that was a lot of bad news but for a good reason. We aren't going to be getting as much money back as we thought but that's only because we made more money than we thought we did. So we got bad news because of a good thing. See i got out of the military in 2008 so i didn't have a job which sucked so our taxes were better. Now that i have a job our taxes suck, not really much of a reward for working so hard all year long is it?

Normally at the time we were done with the tax "professional" ( a term used lightly ) i would be on my way or already at collage for the night, but i was so late because this guy was so slow that i would have walked in half way through the class and missed most of the work that i decided just to not go and spend some over do time with my husband.

We had a good time, we went out to dinner at a restaurant that i will never go to again because we both got so sick to our stomach it was painful. This brings me to our budget. If we plan it out right in August we will be going to Ireland for about a week!! I have wanted to go travel around the emerald isle since I was a little girl. The chance that it is a very great possibility that it will happen is making me SSSOOOOO happy!! Isn't it every girls wish to travel abroad? The mystery of it and the inherent romance that goes along with it sends chills down my spine!
Now since we did our taxes my husband was able to make a purchase that he has been bugging me about for months. He (or we) bought a 50" plasma flat screen (I'm told that it being plasma isn't as good as it could be) and a surround sound system for the living room. Mind you this isn't the one he wanted but we only spent $900 total which made me very happy!!! So we get it home and its like watch the proverbial kid in a candy shop. he is in heaven and frantically putting everything together and in its place. Our roommate stands on and watches is awe. Guys and there toys always trying to impress and out do. Now our roommate wants to get a 52". Now i know this sounds huge but i didn't grasp just how big it would be until we got it into our living room to put it together. It looked a lot smaller on the shelf. The surround sound is worth every penny though too, i was shacking in my bed during the initial testing at 10:05pm.
So all in all it was a good night he got what he wanted and i have a firm grasp on what i want. We are both happy and loved and very Very blessed.

Hello World...or maybe just a couple of neighbors.

So first i just want to put a little about me up, so all you exciting people out there can get to know me. I'm 23yrs old and have been married for almost 5yrs. My husband and i met when we were 18 and in the Navy and o so in love with each other! we knew each other for about 2 months before we got married in downtown Chicago! Myself in a Marilyn Monroe throw back dress and him in his crimson button up and black slacks. It was so romantic, running around a beautiful city in love and evening wear. It was just us there and no one from our family (at least my family) knew we were married till the day after. Since then we have been through to deployments, a miscarage and the adoption of a dog and 2 kitty cats! All while haveing been transfered to sunny southern California. Fast forward to now and im sitting behind a desk in coldest, windest city again, supposedly doing something more productive then writting a blog that no one will see for who knows how long. :) Yes we are back in the windy city stationed at the same base where all the magic happened 5yrs ago. I am no longer in the Navy but my husband still is. We dont have any kids yet and thank goodness because if we did i think i would go crazy with everything on my to-do list. I work full time and am currently going to school full time to ultimatly be a Neonatal Nurse (click on the link to learn more). along with all my want-to-be craftiness. I just have way to much on my plate to even think about little kiddies right now although nothing in the world would make me happier than to be a mom.

***quick side note: I love all the crafty people on this massive site, but how they all find the time to raise kids, work, be crafty, love on there husband and still find time to put a homecooked meal on the table is amazing to me. i give you all major props!!***

Ok back to the babble. So I don't really know yet what this site is going to become. I am currenlty obbsessed with cross stitching so i might post a couple of my up comming works on the site to show them off, or not. So thanks for reading my rambleing and more to come soon!!
